What is Love4Life?
Love4Life is a team-based initiative aimed at providing education and support to teenage girls in schools and youth/community groups through assemblies, lessons, one to one support and small group activity. We aim to help young girls grow in confidence and live healthy and fulfilled lives, both in the present and in the future. We provide free activities, education, help and advice for young people to access in order to discuss, learn and make informed choices about personal issues they are facing in their lives. The main people that benefit are girls aged 14 - 18 within Loughborough as they take part in activities within their school and as well as their free time. There is no other facility operating like us in the town.
Love4Life has its own website with more details about its current projects.
Project history
Love4Life was set up 5 years ago by a group of women wanting to see change in the community. Tired of schemes that just work with the effects of low confidence and poor self-esteem, they set about aiming to challenge and change the causes of it.
Over the last 5 years they have helped inspire and change the lives of many young people. The project is reciving high acclaim from various groups, including the Charnwood Council, Police, Hospital as well as the schools. Recent funding has allowed some part time work to be produced to grow and strengthen the project.
